About the International Summer Course 2020 at University of Applied Sciences of the Deutsche Bundesbank (Hachenburg, Germany)

During one week (29.06-03.07) students of Polessky State University could take advantage of an excellent opportunity to take part in the International Summer Course 2020 at University of Applied Sciences of the Deutsche Bundesbank: attend 5 lectures and write the final test to get the confirmation of the training (certificate).
Participants attended a course of lectures on the following topics:

  • First Round Economic Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis and the Monetary Policy Response;
  • Effects on the Business Models of Banks and their Supervision – a short, medium and long-term View;
  • Payments in a Pandemic Crisis;
  • Economic Forecasting in Turbulent Times;
  • Monetary and Fiscal Measures to counteract the Pandemic Crisis – European Legitimacy and Constitutional Constraints.

It should be noted that the lecturers were friendly and ready to answer all the variety of questions about the topic of the lecture, as well as an interactive style of conducting classes.
The lectures were held in the format of video-conferences on the platform of Deutsche Bundesbank University of Applied Sciences. About 100 people attended the course, they were students, undergraduates and lecturers from Belarus, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and China.
During the course, one could deepen one’s knowledge of the topics described above, learn about the specific experience of other countries and see different perspectives on specific problems.
This course was a great opportunity to spend part of the summer with benefit for yourself and your future career.
