Didier Caness visited Polessky State University

In the course of his visit to Pinsk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Belarus Didier Caness visited Polessky State University, where he met with the leadership of the university, professors and students.
In a conversation with the rector Konstantin Shebeko and Nikolas Kruchynsky, vice rector for scientific work, the Ambassador discussed options for possible cooperation between Polessky State University and French universities.
Nikolas Kruchynsky said that today about 60 students of various specialties are studying French in university. At the same time, the specialty “Linguistic support of intercultural communications (foreign economic relations)” was opened at the university’s banking faculty, where students are interested in gaining international experience.
The students and professors who attended the meeting had the opportunity to ask the most important questions, as well as take part in an interesting discussion about the French language, French culture and Francophonie.
In the framework of the visit, further steps are planned for the development of relations between the university and French universities, including the program of exchanging lyceum students with L’ycee du Parc in Lyon. An agreement was reached on the continuation in September with the consultative center of the embassy of the development of specific steps of cooperation.
