Science, Technology and Innovation International Cooperation Network for EaP Countries Plus

 

From December, 18 to December, 21, 2017 the administration of Polessky State University headed by the rector, Professor Konstantin K. Shebeko, paid a working visit to Gdansk (Poland). This visit took place within the framework of the EU project “STI International Cooperation Network for EaP Countries Plus” (EaP PLUS) aimed at promotion of cooperation between scientists from the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries and the European Union (EU) and the expansion of their joint participation in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020”.

The subject of the discussion was the establishment of partnership relations and the development of long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation between the educational establishment Polessky State University, acting as the Coordinator of Regional Innovation and Industrial Cluster in the Field of Biotechnology and Green Economy (Belarus) and North-South Logistics and Transport Cluster (Poland).

Within the framework of the visit the delegation from PolesSU got acquainted with the organizational and management structure of the cluster, discussed possible areas of cooperation within the framework of the development of the innovative cluster. The administration of PolesSU furthermore took part as honorable guests in the final meeting of the Board of the European Cluster at which the Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction was signed.

Moreover, during the stay in Poland a working meeting was held at the WSB University in Gdańsk which is also the participant of North-South Logistics and Transport Cluster. Within the framework of the meeting the areas of mutual interest in the scientific sphere were discussed and the decision to hold a scientific and practical conference with the participation of Polish colleagues at Polessky State University in May 2018 was achieved.
