On December 13, 2022, the employees of the Polessky State University (Vice-Rector for Science and Research Shtepa V.N., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Finance Rzhevskaya T.A., Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems Romanova M.A., Head of the Department of Landscape Volkova V.V., Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing and International Management Vasilchenko A.O., Associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Design Evseev E.B., Senior Lecturer of the Department of Aquaculture Technologies Yarmosh V.V., Trainee Lecturer of the Department of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems Petrusevich T.V.), as well as students participating in the "PolessUP" and the "Engineering and Eco-Environment Design" of the Faculty of Engineering, visited the subject of innovation infrastructure "Brest Science and Technology Park", which is also the office of digitalization of the Brest region. Director of the Technopark Makaruk Dmitry Georgievich presented the main activities of his organization and long-term plans for its development; spoke about the activities to create a favorable environment, contributing to the intensification of student participation in innovative projects. Separately, the head of CJSC "Brest Science and Technology Park" focused on the need for a more productive position on the part of creative youth in the field of digital and related technologies. The employees and students of Polessky State University were shown the production capabilities of the center for the collective use of equipment - the demonstration center of Industry 4.0 (metalworking, working with polymers, 3D printing and modeling). Lively interest was caused by communication with the design team of the Technopark. Based on the results of the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached on the joint organization of a Hackathon for students of Polessky State University, with its holding on the basis of “Brest Science and Technology Park”.
