February 21, 2023 senior lecturer of the Department of Economics and Business I.V. Gorish, within the framework of the action plan for the Year of Peace and Creation, a lecture “The Confessional Situation in the Republic of Belarus” was held for students of Polessky State University. One of the key directions in the current year is the promotion of interfaith dialogue, which ensures peace and harmony in the Belarusian society. Favorable legal conditions have been created in our country for the activities of religious organizations, ensuring the rights of citizens to freedom of conscience and religion, maintaining interfaith peace and harmony in society, and developing interreligious dialogue. I.V. Gorish spoke about the confessions traditional for our region, drew the attention of those present to the fact that the multi-confessional structure of the Belarusian society has evolved over more than a thousand-year history of the people, it has become an important factor that has had a great influence on the formation of culture, mentality, state traditions of modern Belarus.
