A visiting meeting of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Agrarian Policy on the topic "Issues of improving legislation on fish farming in the Republic of Belarus at the present stage" was held on December 5, 2024 at JSC Fish Farm Volma, one of the oldest fish farms in the country.
Polessky State University was represented at the meeting by: Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Astrenkov Andrey Valeryevich, Docent of the Department of Aquaculture and Eco-environment Design Yarmosh Viktor Vasilyevich and senior lecturer of the Department of Aquaculture and Eco-Environment Design Kozyr Alexey Viktorovich.
During the event, topical issues of the functioning of fish farming complexes of the Republic of Belarus were considered, and an expert group was formed to work on the draft Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Aquaculture".
