International Holocaust Remembrance Day

The International Holocaust Remembrance Day, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly resolution of November 1, 2005, is celebrated on January 27. Students and staff of PolesSU, as well as the secretary of the "BRSM" Likhota Vladislav Yurievich, took part in a city rally with laying flowers at a memorial sign. The sign is erected on the territory where the German ghetto of 1941-1944 was located and mass exterminations of Jews, Gypsies, prisoners of Pinsk prison - partisans and underground workers took place. The students also laid flowers at all the memorials of the city, paying tribute to all those who died. Belarus values peace and values national harmony. Such sad examples as the Pinsk tragedy of 1942 should influence people's morals for generations to come and live in their memory.
