February 15 is the Memorial Day of the Internationalist Soldiers. On this day in 1989, the last column of Soviet troops left the territory of Afghanistan. The Afghan war lasted for more than nine years. This war in a country far from Belarus has affected many of our compatriots, their families, relatives, friends and comrades. Now this day has become a Day of Remembrance not only for those who fought in Afghanistan, but also for all internationalist soldiers who participated in the settlement of military conflicts in the territories of near and far abroad.
Students and staff of PolesSU took part in a rally dedicated to the Memorial Day of the Internationalist Soldiers.
