On February 25, 2025, the team of the Polessky State University Educational Institution, members of the PolesSU Debate Club, consisting of: Maxim Memekh (Faculty of Engineering), Yulia Kakadei (Faculty of Healthy Lifestyle Organization), Veronika Romanyuk and Anastasia Kononkova (Faculty of Economics and Finance), as well as the chairman of the PolesSU Debate Club, Vladimir Vladimirovich Makarushko, senior lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, Chairman of the primary organization of the PolesSU “Belaya Rus", took part in the regional stage of the republican contest "All-Belarusian League of Debates". The competition is co-organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus", the Public Association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union". Brest State Technical University was the host of the event.
The competition was held in three rounds. As a result of a hard struggle, the team of PolesSU “Polesie Politicians”, consisting of Maxim Memekh and Yulia Kakadei, took second place among the teams of all higher educational institutions in the Brest region and will represent the university at the republican stage of the All-Belarusian Debate League competition.
