On February 27, 2025, Polessky State University hosted a preventive conversation with students dedicated to the International Day against Drug Addiction. The event was organized to raise awareness among young people about the responsibility for the distribution and illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, as well as to develop legal awareness and legal culture of students. The meeting was attended by Vice-rector Mikhail Mikhailovich Zaranko, operative officer of the Department for Drug Control and combating human trafficking, senior police lieutenant of the Pinsk City Executive Committee Anton Vladimirovich Perishch, head of the Department for Ideological and educational work Oksana Nikolaevna Yarovich, deputy deans, curators and specialists of the SPPS. Issues related to the prevention of cybercrimes, human trafficking and crimes in the field of sexual integrity were also raised.
