Engineering students create history: coins for the Victory Monument

Students of the Faculty of Engineering have joined a largescale patriotic campaign – collecting of Soviet coins to create a monument "Living Memory of Grateful Generations", which will appear in Moscow. The aim of the project is to symbolically unite the epochs: the coins of the USSR collected by the participants will become part of the alloy from which the monument will be cast. Students actively participated in the search and collection of coins, involving friends, relatives and classmates in the project. Some students shared stories about their front-line ancestors, which added personal meaning to each coin. "For us, future engineers, it is especially valuable that our contribution is literally "fused" into history. It reminds us that memory is not an abstraction, but the work of our hands," said Stanislav Shulga, a student. The campaign not only united generations, but also became a lesson in understanding history through simple but meaningful subjects. Now Soviet coins, former witnesses of the era, will find a new life — as part of an eternal monument of gratitude.
