On March 23, 2025, the karate championship of the Republic of Belarus ended in Minsk, in which more than 100 athletes from all over the country took part. 16 sets of awards were awarded at the main domestic start of the season. As a result, Roman Chimbur, a 2nd-year student at Polessky State University, took 1st place and became the champion of the Republic of Belarus in the men's 18+ to 75 kg category, and Nikita Sakhvon, a 4th-year student, took 2nd place and rose to the second step of the podium in the men's 18+ up to 84 kg category.
