May 11 is the Day of the National Flag, the National Emblem and the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus. This holiday is celebrated in the country annually on the second Sunday of May in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic No. 157 dated March 26, 1998. The delegation of PolesSU took part in a solemn ritual honoring the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus at the National Flag Square in the capital.
Olga Anatolyevna Khmel, Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work, teachers, staff and students of Polessky State University took part in the city's solemn event dedicated to the Day of the National Flag, the National Emblem and the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.
At the end of the solemn meeting, Deputy Dean for Ideological and educational Work Yulia Olegovna Golyakovich, senior lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines Irina Vladimirovna Gorish took part in the city car rally "80 peaceful years under the flag of the Motherland!". The final point of the route was the military cemetery on Quiet Street. The participants of the rally paid tribute to the fallen soldiers.
