On May 16, Polessky State University hosted a scientific seminar "BIOTECHNOLOGY – THE FUTURE BEING CREATED TODAY", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, as well as the 15th anniversary of the Faculty of Biotechnology. Valery Ivanovich Dunai, Rector of the Polessky State University, addressed the participants of the seminar with a welcoming speech.
Vitaly Tadeushevich Ceshchevik, Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, spoke about the history of the creation of the Faculty of Biotechnology, implemented projects and scientific achievements, and also stressed that 1,368 specialists had graduated from the faculty in 15 years.
Reshetnikov Vladimir Nikolaevich, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, who stood at the origins of the creation of the faculty, congratulated everyone present on the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, noted the significant achievements of the Biotechnology Faculty and congratulated on the 15th anniversary. Vladimir Nikolaevich and Elena Vladimirovna also presented gifts to the rector and dean of the faculty.
The branch laboratory of DNA and Cellular Technologies in Crop and Animal Husbandry, as well as the teaching staff, prepared an exposition with scientific achievements and educational and methodological developments.
