The 68th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia was held in Brest on June 16.
Among the participants are Valery Ivanovich Dunai, Rector of PolesSU, deputy of the Brest Regional Council of Deputies of the twenty–ninth convocation, and Olga Vasilyevna Matsuka, member of the Youth Council at the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, member of the Youth Council at the Brest Regional Council of Deputies, Deputy Chairman of the Youth Council at the Pinsk City Council of Deputies.
The meeting's agenda includes the implementation of the instructions of the heads of Belarus and Russia, which were delivered in April in Volgograd during the international forum of the Union State "Great Heritage – Common Future". The session adopted a statement on the protection of historical truth and the preservation of historical memory of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
