Biotechnology students gained valuable practical experience at the State Enterprise “Pinsk Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification”

From June 30 to July 26, 2025, under the guidance of the Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work, E.I. Prilovskaya, and Associate Professor of the Biotechnological Department, A.V. Shashko, the group 22BT-1 underwent educational scientific research practice.

From July 21 to 23, students majoring in “Biotechnology” completed the practical part of their practice in the Department of Testing Food and Agricultural Products at the State Enterprise “Pinsk Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification”.

For three days, students participated in various types of testing of food and agricultural products under the guidance of experienced specialists of the center, applying the knowledge they had gained during their studies.

In particular, the students:

- participated in the analysis of samples for toxic elements, pesticides, nitrites, nitrates, mycotoxins, and other harmful substances;

- conducted research on honey, sausage and fish products, and animal feed for compliance with quality standards;

- learned to operate chromatographs, spectrophotometers, and other high-tech equipment;

- became familiar with GOSTs, technical regulations, and other documents regulating quality and safety requirements for products;

- prepared test protocols and conclusions regarding compliance with established requirements.
