On August 20, representatives of the Department of International Relations met with students who arrived from the People's Republic of China to study at Polessky State University. The meeting was devoted to issues related to the stay of foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus.
Head of International Relations Aksenchik N.V. and international relations specialist Kyivich E.L. told the students in detail about: Migration legislation of the Republic of Belarus: rules for registration, visa extension, obtaining temporary residence permits and other important aspects. Duties of foreign citizens: compliance with laws, internal regulations of the university, respect for Belarusian culture and traditions. The rights of foreign students: access to education, medical care, cultural events and other opportunities provided by Belarusian legislation. The rules of behavior in public places and on the university grounds: about the norms of behavior, safety and respect for others. Contacts and resources for advice and assistance: information is provided on emergency telephone numbers, contacts of employees of the international department and other departments of the university who are ready to provide support. During the meeting, the students were able to ask their questions about living conditions, cultural adaptation and other aspects of life and education in Belarus.
