On September 4, students of Polessky State University visited a previously unknown burial site for civilians, located in the Leninsky agro-town, as part of activities to preserve and protect historical memory.
Special attention was paid to the exposition dedicated to the history of one of the most tragic notes of the Great Patriotic War - the genocide of the Belarusian people. Dmitry Yuryevich Marachuk, Prosecutor of the Zhabinkovsky district, spoke about the details of the criminal investigation, new facts, as well as documents supplementing the investigation. The story of the distillery where the captive inhabitants worked in inhumane conditions during the Nazi occupation was also told.
The unique exhibits found during the excavations were shown. The students learned new interesting facts from the field of criminology and the establishment of accurate data during various laboratory studies.
The students also visited the monument to the Soviet soldiers and partisans who died during the Great Patriotic War in the city of Ivanovo.
