The Republican Sports Contest of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus is being held on the basis of Polessky State University.
At the opening ceremony, the guests were greeted by Yuri Adamovich Chebotar, Minister of Economy, and Mikhail Leonidovich Batsenko, Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
Among the guests of honor are Valery Vasilyevich Rebkovets, Chairman of the Pinsk City Executive Committee, and Valery Ivanovich Dunai, Rector of Polessky State University. Anna Evgenievna Batyushko, Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus in weightlifting, silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Athens, participant of three Olympiads, the world record holder, winner of the World and European Championships was invited to raise the flag of the Republic of Belarus.
This year, the following teams compete for the victory in the Spartakiad: the national team of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus; the national team of economic services of the Brest region; the national team of the Vitebsk region; the national team of the Gomel region; the national team of the Minsk region; the national team of the Mogilev region.
