Roman Shabatko, a student at PolesSU, won gold at the European Youth Rowing Championships

The European Youth Rowing Championship (U23) was held in Racice, Czech Republic, from September 6-7. The Belarusian athletes showed a brilliant result, winning the gold medal in the doubles four. The crew includes Roman Shabatko, a student of Polessky State University, who studies at the Faculty of Healthy Lifestyle Organization, as well as Ivan Makarevich, Fedor Shorokh and Pavel Sinenko. The crew demonstrated outstanding preparation and teamwork, covering the distance in 5 minutes, 54.23 seconds and ahead of the teams from Portugal (silver) and Poland (bronze).
