Ekaterina Igorevna Prilovskaya, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biotechnology, and Maria Mikhailovna Vorobyova, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, have successfully completed a significant internship abroad at one of the leading technical universities in the Russian Federation, ITMO University (St. Petersburg, Russian Federation).
During the training, Ekaterina Igorevna mastered innovative methods of working with cell lines in conditions of sterility, worked out practical skills in visualization with high-resolution microscopes, confocal systems and other tools for detailed analysis of the structure and functions of cells and tissues. Maria Mikhailovna mastered methods of working with DNA, protocols for the preparation of competent cells and their transformation, web interfaces for working with genetic constructs, as well as new pedagogical approaches used at ITMO for their further use in the educational process.
