On October 16, Polessky State University hosted a common information day "The role of family values in modern society" with the participation of Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus Igor Vasilyevich Karpenko. The event was also attended by Valery Vasilyevich Rebkovets, Chairman of the Pinsk City Executive Committee, Valery Ivanovich Dunai, Rector of PolesSU, faculty and students.
Igor Vasilyevich noted that family is one of the priority values of the Belarusian people. Historical and spiritual Christian values are the foundation on which the Belarusian society is built, and the well-being of the Belarusian society depends on how much we can preserve and strengthen this institution.
Special attention was paid to the socio-political processes in the country and the topic of electoral campaigns.
During the dialogue, young people were able to ask their questions about family values, traditions, career choice, the country's electoral system, innovations in education, etc.
At the end of the meeting, the participants noted that such open dialogues contribute to strengthening mutual understanding between generations and the formation of an active civic position among young people.
