On November 20, Polessky State University hosted united information Day "CYBERSECURITY AND CYBERCRIME PREVENTION" with the participation of Valery Ivanovich Dunai, Rector, and Daniil Yurievich Kravchuk, Assistant Prosecutor of the Pinsk Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office.
Cyber attacks have become one of the main strategic threats to the national, economic and public security of any country. Daniil Yurievich spoke about the key areas of cyber threats, gave specific examples of attacks targeting educational institutions and personal data of citizens.
The issues of legal liability for cybercrimes and the consequences of negligent attitude to personal data protection were discussed. The importance of increasing the digital literacy of the population and the formation of a culture of safe behavior in the digital environment was emphasized. United information day was also held in the structural divisions and student groups of PolesSU.
