On February 28, 2026, a briefing was held at Polessky State University with the participation of representatives of international diplomatic missions, business structures and government agencies of the Republic of Belarus.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged greetings and discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the economic and social spheres. The foreign guests noted the positive impressions of their stay in Pinsk, emphasizing the dynamic development of the Brest region and its potential for the implementation of joint projects. Valery Vasiljevich Rebkovets, Chairman of the Pinsk City Executive Committee, noted that the presence of the delegations underlines the importance of the project "At the Foundation of the Future" and confirms the important role of economic, cultural and sports dialogue in strengthening cooperation between countries and cities. The management expressed confidence that the guests would be able to assess the potential of Pinsk, focused on constructive cooperation and the implementation of mutually beneficial initiatives.
Valery Ivanovich Dunai, Rector of PolesSU, stressed that the university is a young but actively developing regional center of education and science, which strives to strengthen international relations, expand academic partnerships and participate in intercultural initiatives.
As part of the program of stay, a delegation of foreign guests and representatives of the Osnovanie Sports club visited the ice arena of the PolesSU sports complex.
A friendly hockey match took place at the arena between the Osnovanie sports club and the Pinsk amateur team.
