On April 16, an information day "Chernobyl: from recovery to sustainable development" was held at Polessky State University. The structural divisions and student groups of Polessky State University analyzed the path that Belarus has traveled in the four decades since the Chernobyl accident. Special attention was paid to the transformation of public policy, from emergency response and the creation of exclusion zones in the early years to the systemic socio-economic rehabilitation of affected regions today. The results of the implementation of state programs from 1991 to 2025 were also summarized and the priorities of new programs for 2026-2030 were outlined.
