On April 23, 2026, a seminar "Exploring the Arctic – from Karelia to Pevek" was held at Polessky State University. The event was held as part of the Clean Arctic environmental project, aimed at improving ecology and the environment, as well as developing the volunteer movement. The seminar was organized by representatives of the autonomous non-profit organization "Clean Arctic" (Russian Federation).
The Clean Arctic Project is a multi–year project aimed at preserving the ecological balance and sustainable development of the Arctic region through the implementation of environmental initiatives. For this purpose, volunteers conduct expeditions and get to the most inaccessible areas. The event is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Nature Foundation.
