Pinsk hosted a city festival‑competition of patriotic and author's songs "Memory of the Heart", dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The students of PolesSU adequately represented the university and were among the best participants in the creative competition. The Grand Prix of the festival was won by Sidor Daria, a student of the Faculty of Economics and Finance, performing the soulful composition "Blockade Waltz".
Angelina Avdeenko, a student of the Faculty of Biotechnology, received a diploma of the II degree in the nomination "Solo Singing".
The vocal duet of Anna Kopat and Nguyen Duc Chin was also awarded a Diploma of the II degree for the performance of the legendary song "Katusha".
The students' performances became a vivid confirmation of their talent, creative initiative and respect for historical memory.
