A meeting of students with representatives of the Pinsk Police Department was held at PolesSU, dedicated to issues of personal safety, legal culture and responsibility for illegal actions. The first to address the students was Vice-rector Mikhail Mikhailovich Zaranko. He emphasized the importance of personal actions and recalled the inevitability of responsibility for them, noting that maturity is manifested in the ability to anticipate the consequences of their actions.
Olga Anatolyevna Khmel, Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work, noted that the topics discussed are directly related to safety, legal culture and responsible behavior of each student, and such meetings help to form an informed attitude towards one's own future.
Ivan Nikolaevich Brutsky, Deputy Head of the department and Chief of Police of the Pinsk Police Department, elaborated on the topic of drug trafficking. He stressed that the use and distribution of prohibited substances inevitably entails serious criminal liability, as well as destroys the health, social ties and the future of a young person.
Ekaterina Vladimirovna Rozhkovets, an operative of the cybercrime department, spoke about the key threats in the network: cybercrime, extortion, phishing links and social engineering methods. She reminded the students about the rules of digital security: do not click on suspicious links, do not transfer money to strangers, do not transfer bank details and always check the accuracy of information.
The meeting was concluded by Olga Nikolaevna Sakovich, a Specialist of the Juvenile Affairs Inspectorate. She drew attention to the importance of following traffic rules and responsibility for administrative offenses. As part of her speech, a motivational video about the consequences of carelessness on the road was shown.
