On September 1, 2026, the Polessky State University held a solemn assembly dedicated to Knowledge Day and the start of the academic year. The event marked the beginning of the 2026/2027 academic year, and 738 first‑year students and 104 lyceum students were welcomed into the university family. Rector, Valery Ivanovich Dunai, delivered a welcoming speech. Valery Ivanovich congratulated everyone present on Knowledge Day and noted the special significance of this day: together with the start of the new academic year, Polessky State University is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The rector emphasized that for first‑year students, enrolling at university was an important life step and the first serious achievement, opening the way to professional development.
