On November 25-26, 2021, the V International Scientific and Practical Online-Offline Conference named "Biotechnology: Achievements and Development Prospects" was held at Polessky State University. It was attended by representatives of the Republic of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Belgium, China, USA (75 scientific works).
The conference program included plenary, section reports. The participants of the conference discussed such issues as:
- Fundamental aspects of modern biotechnology;
- Biotechnology in agriculture and processing industry;
- Biotechnological aspects of aquaculture;
- Medical biotechnology;
- Actual problems of medical genetics;
- Scientific aspects of the rational use of natural resources and energy conservation.
Olga Alexandrovna Zolotareva, the Vice-rector for academic affairs, Dr. Sc. (Economic Sciences), Professor and Nikolai Genrikhovich Kruchinsky, the Professor of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor made speeches at the opening of the plenary session.
Irina Viktorovna Kondakova, the Head of the Laboratory of tumor biochemistry, Research Institute of Oncology of Tomsk national research medical center of Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, spoke about the development of medical biotechnology in Russia.
Petr Mikhailovich Skripchuk, the Professor of the Department of Economics and Management at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, Dr. Sc. (Economic Sciences), Professor spoke about the influence of technological solutions and microorganisms on the processing of organic waste in Ukraine.
Director of OOO "Profpoliv" Vadim Vladimirovich Boyko told the participants about preserving water resources when introducing innovative technologies for professional irrigation.
More than 30 participants took part in the work of the sections.
