The Republic of Belarus celebrates Belarusian Science Day every year on the last Sunday of January. This is a holiday of academicians, scientists, professors and students who have decided to devote their lives to research activities.
Rector of Polessky State University Valery Dunai met with postgraduate students and young scientists of the university on 31 January. Issues of forming the scientific image of the university were discussed during the meeting. The postgraduate students had the opportunity to share their views on young scientists’ and postgraduate students’ role in the development of the university and the country. Topical issues of focusing on the applied and practical direction of their research were discussed.
At present, Polessky State University provides postgraduate education in 5 specialties: economic, biological, pedagogical, and agricultural branches of science.
Most of the postgraduate students have made their first steps in science by working in the student research laboratories of the university, participating in scientific conferences, research competitions and festivals. Such activities are regularly held at Polessky State University. Polessky State University pays great attention to the popularization of science as an interesting, important sphere of life. Scientific, technical and innovative activities of Polessky State University are aimed at developing education, as well as fundamental and applied sciences.
