LIFE OF THE FACULTY
On July 14, 2021, students of the specialty "Industrial fish farming" (specialization: "Technology of processing of fish products", qualification - engineer-technologist) of the Faculty of Engineering of Polessky State University, as part of the training practices in the disciplines "Ichthyology" and "Zoology", held an extended field trip a lesson with the participation of employees of the department "Industrial fish farming and processing of fish products" and specialists from the scientific and technological park LLC "Technopark Polessye".
As part of the educational practice in decorative dendrology, students of the Faculty of Engineering under the guidance of an assistant of the department Bloch V.G. visited the botanical garden in Minsk. The students took part in an excursion that introduced them to the history of the garden, its landscape architecture and layout, included the most interesting corners and expositions, as well as changing plant collections.
The Department of Aquaculture Technology of the Faculty of Engineering of Polessky State University continues to actively interact with specialized educational and innovation centers as part of the expansion of scientific and technological cooperation.
For students of the specialty "Gardening and Park Construction" a seminar was held "First Steps in the Career of a Graduate of the Department of Landscape Design" on the territory of the zoo-landscape park "Dipriz" in Baranovichi.
In October 2021, 2nd year students of the Faculty of Engineering with a specialization in Information Systems and Technologies took part in the Open IT 2021 conference. Lectures, classes and master classes were full of interactive activities, competitions, tasks, for active participation in which the guys received gifts and prizes. The conference gave the guys the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the software production environment, as well as communicate live with professionals and future colleagues.
On October 2, students of the Faculty of Engineering took part in organizing a bike ride together with the SumCityNet project.
On November 30, the city stage of the republican youth project “100 Ideas for Belarus” was held, in which students of the Polessky State University took part. Bogushevich Ivan, a 2nd year student of the Faculty of Engineering, and Lipsky Yaroslav, an assistant at the Department of IT and IS, presented the project, which won the city stage and reached the final of the regional competition.
In February, the chief engineer of the VET of the group of leading Russian companies LLC "DerevoPark" held a seminar for students of PolesSU.
World Engineering Day is celebrated annually on March 4th starting in 2020. On the eve of the holiday date, representatives of the engineering faculty of PolesSU held an open exhibition-presentation of the specialties of their faculty for students of the lyceum.
On March 19, the stage of the Cup of Belarus in educational robotics was held on the basis of the Polessky State University.
In April 2022, students of the specialty "Gardening and Park Construction", as part of their internship, carried out landscaping of the square on Lenin Street, and also put in order the Obelisk of Military Glory - as part of their participation in events dedicated to Victory Day.
On May 6, 2022, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Engineering: Theory and Practice" was held at the EE " Polessky State University".
On May 20, 2022, at the Department of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems, a meeting was held for 1-2 year students of the specialty "Information Systems and Technologies" with representatives of a young IT company, a resident of the High Technology Park of the Republic of Belarus, Epol Soft LLC, at which all participants of the meeting was given the opportunity to pass the original testing for the position of a software engineer in the company.
On June 29, 2022, a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of the specialties "Information systems and technologies (in economics)", "Gardening and park construction" and "Industrial fish farming" was held.
