On 6 May during the week of history in Pinsk Secondary School 12 Irina E. Yelenskaya Ph.D. in History, Associated Professor of the Department of Intercultural Communications met high school students and told them about the ordeal which was suffered by the residents of Pinsk during the Great Patriotic War, the Pinsk ghetto prisoners’ tragedy.
The students learned about extant archival documents and recollections about our town’s historical period. The residents of Pinsk who had survived three years of the Nazi occupation and been witnesses of Nazi criminals entrusted the descendants with cherishing the memory of the Great Victory. The event was organized by Victoria V. Patotskaya history teacher from Pinsk Secondary School 12.
