Within the framework of the I International Scientific Conference "Pinsk Readings", timed to coincide with the 925th anniversary of the founding of the Pinsk city a panel discussion on the topic "Prospects for the development of academic mobility" was held at Polessky State University on the basis of the Center of Belarusian-Chinese Intercultural Communications with students of the Shanxi Institute Science and Technology (People's Republic of China). The moderators of this event were: teacher of the Department of Intercultural Communications Arashkevich Irina Nikolaevna, Head of the Department of International Relations Aksenchik Natalya Vladimirovna (Polessky State University) and Head of the Faculty of Culture, Tourism and Health Wang Yaqin (Shanxi Institute of Science and Technology). The speakers from the Polessky State University were students, undergraduates students of the faculties: economics and finance, biotechnological, engineering, organization of a healthy lifestyle. Students from the Faculty of Culture, Tourism and Health, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Intellectual Production took part as speakers from the Shanxi Institute of Science and Technology. As part of the panel discussion, students of the National State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Health named after P.F. Lesgaft (St. Petersburg, Russian Federation), who are currently the participants in the educational program "Startup School", organized on the basis of Polessky State University, also took place in this event.
The particular interest for the students of the Shanxi Institute of Science and Technology was the presentation of Gao Dongze (PRC), a master's student of the Polessky State University, who shared his impressions of studying in the Republic of Belarus. Within the framework of the panel discussion, students of three universities (the Republic of Belarus, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation) shared their scientific and educational achievements and interests, the issues of the history and culture of China and Belarus were touched upon. The format of this meeting aroused interest from both sides. Within the framework of the round table, promising areas of cooperation in the field of academic mobility were outlined.
