On December 2, 2022, the Interuniversity Scientific Conference "Problems of Sports Anthropology" was held at Polessky State University. The conference was attended by leading experts in the field of sports anthropology of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture and Polessky State University. The Rector of the Polessky State University Dunai Valery Ivanovich addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. The moderators of the conference were: Melnov Sergey Borisovich, Professor of the Department of Anatomy of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor; Davydov Vladimir Yurievich, Professor of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Polessky State University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor; Kruchinsky Nikolai Genrikhovich, Head of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor. The conference discussed the use of morphological and functional indicators in sports selection in various sports, the possibility of anthropogenetic prediction in sports, practical issues of increasing resistance to hypoxia using genetic markers.
