On December 10, the Winter Ball was held at the Polessky State University. The traditional event this year became special: the guests of the university were cadets and young officers of the Pinsk border detachment headed by the head of the State Educational Institution "Institute of the Border Guard Service of the Republic of Belarus", Major General Zhilinsky Sergey Vasilyevich, headed by the head of the unit Vinnikov Dmitry Alexandrovich. The festive ball was opened by the rector of Polessky State University Dunai Valery Ivanovich: “Today's ball is, first of all, a place for meetings and communication. Our guests are young people who have chosen the most noble and courageous profession - to defend our Motherland." The head of the institute also greeted the participants. Sergei Vasilyevich congratulated everyone on the upcoming New Year holidays, wishing good, peace and prosperity. To the musical accompaniment of the orchestra of the Pinsk border detachment, in tribute to the age-old tradition, young people performed a polonaise, mazurka, polka and waltz. The Winter Ball is the first joint event between the two universities, which marked the beginning of cooperation between institutions in the field of education, science and civil-patriotic education of youth. This will also be facilitated by the Cooperation Agreement signed the day before between the State Educational Institution "Institute of the Border Service of the Republic of Belarus" and the educational institution "Polessky State University".
