The development of the modern economy is inextricably linked with the spread of digital technologies based on the theoretical and economic basis and information systems. In many industries, the effectiveness of this transformation of business and technological processes is becoming a key competitive advantage for organizations. That is why, as part of the celebration of the Week of Belarusian Science and the creation of the foundations for solving urgent problems of regional and state digital platforms, information systems and resources, determining a unified technical and technological policy, on January 24, 2023, the International Scientific and Discussion Platform " Realities of digital transformation of the economy " was held at the Polessky State University. A block of presentations of advanced research on the use of digital and intelligent systems in the economic, educational and industrial fields included reports: "Economic digitalization": Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Olga A. Zolotareva (Polessky State University); "Economics and management of organizations in the context of digital transformation": Head of the Department of Digital Technologies, Mathematics and Economics Motina T. N. (Murmansk State Technical University); "Approach to assessing the territorial potential from the standpoint of the development of the tourist ecosystem of the region": Associate Professor of the Department "Marketing, Commerce and the Service Sector" Zinchenko S. Vl. (Penza State University); “The need for a synergistic approach in the digitalization of water supply and sewerage facilities”: Vice-Rector for Science and Research Shtepa Vladimir Nikolaevich (Polessky State University); “Problems in Managing the Implementation of Artificial Intelligence”: Associate Professor of the Department “Economic Theory and International Relations” Pitaikina I. A. (Penza State University); “Improving the competitiveness of enterprises and sectors of the agro-industrial complex in the context of digital transformation”: Yulia Rybalko, Head of the Research and Innovation Department (Polessky State University). After the reports, a substantive scientific and practical discussion took place on the prospects for international cooperation to achieve the goals of digital development of various spheres of life and production, with particular emphasis on the specifics of the application and development of artificial intelligence. As a result of the exchange of views, a number of promising areas (projects) were identified, which will become the basis for joint applications for funding and proposals to organizations in the real sector of the economy of various countries; came to a common opinion on the advisability of organizing periodic events of a debatable nature.
