On February 21, 2023, Vladimir Nikolayevich Shtepa, Vice-Rector for Science and Research of Polessky State University, took part in the production meeting of the Technopolygon project online. The event was held under the leadership of the rector of the Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics, Doctor of Economic Sciences Khairov Bari Galimovich. This project is relevant for Polessky State University, as it is aimed at solving a wide range of issues: practice-oriented training of students, support for representatives of the IT sector and IT companies, ensuring the security of Internet users, developing digital currency, supporting digital services and platforms. The objectives of the "Technopolygon" are: Educational activities in the main educational programs, Conducting scientific research by scientists and students, Conducting joint events for schoolchildren and students, Education of pupils of rehabilitation centers on a gratuitous basis, Commercialization of scientific research. Of particular interest is the concept of the "University Metaverse", which is designed to provide participants with communication at a new level, to widely use the tools of virtual laboratories, simulators, content and new generation services. Cooperation is seen as promising by coordinating the activities of the created virtual IT Campus of the Polessky region with the activities of the Technopolygon in the framework of solving scientific and educational problems, joint implementation of projects and orders, conducting systematic training of students in new IT solutions and products.
