On April 28, the XVII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Sustainable Development of the Economy: Status, Problems, Prospects” was held at the Polessky State University, which brought together scientists from Belarus and Russia. The main goal of the conference is to popularize and disseminate knowledge and innovations in the field of economics. The conference provides an opportunity to keep abreast of current trends in the development of the economic system, gain foreign experience and contribute to strengthening cooperation between world scientific communities. The Vice-Rector of the Educational Establishment "Polessky State University" Olga Alexandrovna Zolotareva, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor, delivered a welcoming speech. The following speakers made presentations at the plenary session: Pokrovskaya Natalia Vladimirovna, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Credit Theory and Financial Management of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "St. Sci., Associate Professor of the Educational Establishment "Polessky State University", Rybalko Yuliya Aleksandrovna, Head of the Scientific and Innovation Department, Ph.D. , Professor of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "North Caucasian Federal University". Foreign colleagues took part in the conference online. Absolutely all the reports aroused keen interest among the conference participants. Not only questions, but also suggestions were made from them. The work of the international conference continued in six sections, where they talked about the problems of sustainable development of the economy; modern trends in the development of management, marketing and tourism industry; socio-humanitarian and legal problems of the modernization of society and much more. In addition, within the framework of the Year of Peace and Creation, in the course of the work of the section “Socio-humanitarian and legal problems of modernizing society”, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Business, Ph.D. genocide of the Belarusian people during the Second World War.
