As part of establishing practice-oriented contacts with the country's leading innovative enterprises, on May 12, 2023, Vladimir Nikolaevich SHTEPA, Vice-Rector for Research, held an on-site working meeting with BELVITUUNIPHARM JSC (Vitebsk region), which is a leading domestic manufacturer of vaccines, sera and pharmacological veterinary drugs in Republic of Belarus and CIS countries. General Director of the company BOLSHAKOV Sergey Aleksandrovich demonstrated the production potential, which allows the production of about 150 types of veterinary drugs, more than 100 of which are import-substituting in the EAEU. It is extremely relevant for Polessky State |University that in 2023 JSC "BELVITUNIPHARM" plans to build a specialized plant for the production of drugs for humans. It will be a separate facility with its own warehouse, personnel, autonomous communications, and water intake. Within the framework of such a project, productive cooperation with the Faculty of Biotechnology, the Faculty of Healthy Lifestyle and a number of industry-specific laboratories of the university, primarily Longitudinal Research and DNA and Cell Technologies in Crop and Livestock Production, is possible. There is also a good potential for promising cooperation between the subject of innovation infrastructure Technopark “Polesie” and UE Research Institute Biopharm (Director LYAKHOVSKY Alexander Konstantinovich), the main purpose of which was the development and implementation of innovative products and technologies for the activities of the founder. Agreements were reached on systematic practice and employment of Polessky State University students at the enterprise, the formation of a joint package of research projects and, which is expedient, on the parallel signing of agreements on long-term cooperation between Polessky State University and the Vitebsk company, the University Technopark and the Biopharm Research Institute.
