On June 8, Minsk hosted the second meeting of the Youth Parliament under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. A student of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Chairman of the Youth Parliament at the Pinsk City Council of Deputies, Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Ecology, Volunteering and Sustainable Development of the Youth Parliament Anna Lazovskaya took part in the second meeting of the Youth Parliament at the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Almost a year has passed since the beginning of the work of the second convocation. It's time to take stock and make plans for another productive year. The following issues were on the agenda of the parliamentarians: 1. “On the implementation of projects of the Youth Council (parliament) under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus”. 2. "On the activities of the Youth Parliament under the Minsk Regional Council of Deputies of the second convocation (February 2022 - June 2023)". 3. "On international cooperation of the Youth Council (Parliament) under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus (August 2022 - June 2023)". 4. "On the systematization of the activities of the Youth Councils (parliaments) under local authorities." Traditionally, the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Ivanovna Kochanova took part in the meeting. To strengthen the status of the family, to prevent the rehabilitation of Nazism, to continue the fight against the spread of drugs - these and other tasks were set by Natalya Ivanovna before the members of the Youth Parliament at the National Assembly. The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic said that a plan of work on bills for the next year is already being prepared. The Youth Council (Parliament) works by analogy with the National Assembly, therefore it should be engaged in legislative activities, noted the Chairman of the Council of the Republic. She urged the youth to think over the proposals concerning amendments to the current legislation.
