On September 1, 2023, a solemn line dedicated to the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the academic year was held at the Polessky State University. The event launched the 2023/2024 academic year, and new students and lyceum students were accepted into the university family. The rector of the Polessky State University Dunai V. I. delivered a welcoming speech. He congratulated all those present on the Day of Knowledge, and the first-year students on the first serious victory in their lives - admission to the Polessky State University. He wished the teaching staff, students and lyceum students a successful academic year, professional and personal victories. Also, honorary guests of the solemn line addressed the first-year students with congratulations and parting words. Chairman of the Pinsk City Executive Committee Rebkovets V. V. wished the students success in the upcoming academic year and stressed that, having become excellent qualified specialists, the guys will definitely contribute to the development of the region and their country. Among the guests of honor of the event were Deputy Chairman of the Pinsk Regional Executive Committee Polkhovsky Dm. In a solemn atmosphere, the rector of Polessky State University presented certificates of awarding the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the scholarship holders of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the social support of gifted students and students Melyukh V.V. and Novik N.G. The presentation of specialties of the faculties was bright and memorable. The Chairman of the Coordinating Student Council, representatives of youth associations called on freshmen to actively participate in the public life of the university. After the solemn oath, the first-year students were presented with a symbolic student card. According to the established tradition, the participants of the event laid flowers at the monument of the Memorial complex to the liberators of Pinsk.
