Students of Polessky State University vote early

Early voting is actively underway at polling station No. 23, located in the educational building No. 2 of Polessky State University.

As Nikolai Chmyr, chairman of the precinct election commission at polling station No. 23, said, students traditionally take an active part in early voting. By the way, they make up the majority of voters here.

Second-year student of the Faculty of Engineering Daniil Barai and first-year student of the Faculty of Biotechnology Yulia Shishlo are participating in elections for the first time. It also coincided that on this very day Daniil and Yulia celebrate their birthday. On this occasion, the birthday people were awarded souvenirs from the primary organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of Polessky State University, and also received the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus as a gift from the chairman of the precinct election commission.

– Supporting our youth is a priority activity of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union. Starting from the first day of early voting, the primary university of the university decided to celebrate with souvenirs those who vote for the first time and are birthday people,” said Artur Gospodarik, secretary of the primary organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union with the rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Polessky State University. “I am sure that the guys made a conscious choice that will determine the future of our country.” According to the chairman of the precinct commission, Mykola Chmyr, the election campaign is taking place as usual, everything is calm. Based on the experience of past years, half of the voters in this precinct will have voted by Saturday.

Daniil Barai, second-year student of the Faculty of Engineering of Polessky State University: – Voting in elections plays a key role in the formation of a democratic society. I am glad that on my birthday I was given the opportunity to participate in the elections.
