On September 9, 2026, a working meeting was held at Polessky State University with representatives of the internal affairs bodies and migration services. The event was devoted to optimizing control over compliance with legislation and improving the prevention of offenses among foreign students.
It was decided to strengthen control over the adaptation of first‑year students and to provide targeted explanations to prevent their involvement in unlawful activities (including cybercrime, illegal financial transactions, and the trafficking of prohibited substances). Vice‑Rector Mikhail Mikhailovich Zaranko noted the importance of maintaining discipline. The parties highlighted the significance of joint planned and unplanned inspections to ensure compliance with the university’s internal regulations and the migration regime at the student dormitories of PolesSU. The parties emphasized that ongoing joint work with students will help strengthen security within the university environment and ensure strict compliance with the laws of the Republic of Belarus by foreign citizens.
