On October 14, the Week of Parental Love, dedicated to the celebration of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, started. A thematic meeting titled “Being a mom is awesome!” was held at the Faculty of Economics and Finance and the Faculty of Engineering. The event was attended by Priest Alexander Sytsevich, rector of the Church of the Holy Right‑Believing Princes Peter and Fevronia, head of the youth work department of the Pinsk Diocese, and Elena Vasilyevna Yankovskaya, associate professor at the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, a mother of multiple children who successfully combines motherhood and a career.
Father Alexander told the participants of the event about family values, the role of women in the family, and the choice of a future spouse, and he also sang a heartfelt song of his own composition dedicated to his wife, Mother Anna (the mother of eight children).
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue, during which students were able to ask questions about parenthood, family traditions, and the spiritual component of the family. The guests shared their experience of motherhood and fatherhood and answered all the questions openly.
