Khatyn... we remember

On March 22, 1943, the village Khatyn in the Logoisk district, along with all its inhabitants, was destroyed by the Nazis. 149 civilians, including 75 children, were burned alive or shot. On March 21 and 22, commemorative events are held on the territory of the State Memorial Complex "Khatyn", dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the destruction of the village of Khatyn.

On March 21, 2021, at 20:00, a memorial rally-requiem was held on the territory of the Khatyn Memorial Complex, within the framework of which the All-Belarusian Prayer for Peace was read out by representatives of four faiths.

On March 22, 2021, from 11:00 to 15:00, a flower-laying ceremony will be held, which will be attended by delegations of the ministries of the Republic of Belarus. At 11:00, a minute of silence was held at Polessky State University in memory of the civilians who died during the Great Patriotic War. Students, teachers and staff remembered the villages that were burned to the ground, the villages that were wiped off the face of the earth, remembered those who died at the hands of the invaders and paid tribute to their memory.
