On March 24, 2021, an online working meeting was held at the Technical University of Berlin (HTW Berlin) as part of the exchange of experience on the implementation of innovative technologies within the framework of the CLIMAN project.
On the part of Polessky State University, representatives of three faculties participated in it: Engineering, Economics and Finance, and Biotechnological. German partners of Polessky State University presented:
- the specifics of the implementation of the European Union program "Horizont" on the basis of their university;
- concepts of the functioning of scientific schools (Prof. Dr. Thomas Baar);
- climate management projects (Prof. Volker Quaschning and Prof. Koch);
- creation of intelligent energy management systems (Smart Grid) with the integration of renewable energy sources (Prof. Barz);
- research in the field of hydrogen reactors (Prof. Laß-Seyoum).
The representatives of Polessky State University were particularly interested in the report of Dr. Wendelin Wichtmann on the assessment of the impact of swamps and peatlands on climate change, since its conclusions clearly correspond to the materials presented by Belarusian scientists in the framework of this scientific event. They reflect the tasks of the Climate Management Center created on the basis of the scientific and technological park of Technopark Polesie LLC.
At the end of the online meeting, discussions were held and promising areas of cooperation between Polessky State University and the Technical University of Berlin (HTW Berlin) were developed.
