As a part of the 15th anniversary of the university celebration, on March 26, 2021, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Language and Intercultural Communication: Modern Vectors of Development" was held. It was organized by the Department of Intercultural Communications.
The conference was attended by more than 120 scientists from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Poland. Russian science is represented by the works of teachers, postgraduates, and undergraduates of BSU, BSEU, BNTU, Polotsk State University, Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov, and Gomel State University named after F. P. Masherov. Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University and many others.
Among the foreign partner universities are Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Tyumen Industrial University, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Lipetsk State Pedagogical University named after P. P. Semenov-Tyan-Shansky, Volgograd State University, Voronezh State Pedagogical University and many others.
The reports address the current problems of international cooperation in the field of linguistics, linguodidactics and intercultural communication, as well as the state and prospects of teaching Russian as a foreign language, modern aspects of literary studies, translation and interpretation of text in a multicultural space.
