On April 10, 2021, Polessky State University hosted guests as part of the Open Day. School students from Pinsk and other Belarusian cities visited Polessky State University to get acquainted with it.
Among the guests of the Economics and Finance Faculty were many participants of the International Olympiad of Polessky State University in General education and special subjects.
Teachers of the Economics and Finance Faculty provided the work of 7 sections of the Olympiad. The volunteers accompanied the event: they registered the participants, invited them to visit the student club, where a meeting with representatives of the faculties of PolesSU was organized, and they could also drink a cup of fragrant tea or coffee. In the classrooms, the volunteers helped the teachers to organize the work of the participants of the Olympiad on the tasks.
The Open Day at the Economics and Finance Faculty was opened by Tatyana Rzhevskaya, the faculty’s Dean, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor. She told about the history of the creation and structure of the faculty, as well as its specialties.
For the applicants, representatives of the Departments of Financial Management, Marketing and International Management, Banking and Financial Markets conducted introductory lectures on special disciplines.
Nikita Litvinchuk, Chairman of the faculty’s Student Council, Anna Kravtsova, a Presidential Scholarship holder, and Elena Skrebets, a volunteer, told the audience about student life.
Students-volunteers of the Biotechnological faculty told about their student life, studies and scientific activities. The presentation of the laboratories was organized on the basis of the Polessky State University. Future applicants were able to ask all their questions directly to Vitaly Cheshchevik, the dean of the faculty.
Teachers of the Engineering Faculty made a presentation of the following specialties: "Garden and Park Construction", "Information Systems and Technologies" and "Industrial Fish Farming".
According to tradition, Vladimir Shtepa, the Dean of the Engineering Faculty addressed the applicants. For the applicants, a tour of the classrooms, laboratories, computer classes and the Educational and Scientific Laboratory “Engineering Center” was conducted, where the potential undergraduates were able to see the process of performing laboratory experiments with their own eyes.
Those who were interested in the Healthy Way of Life Organization Faculty, lisened to a welcoming speech made by Tatyana Marinich, the dean of the faculty. She spoke about the specialties of the faculty and its specifics of training.
Lyudmila Shebeko, Head of the Department of General and Clinical Medicine, held a workshop “Sensory Integration and Its Role in Human Life”.
At the PolesSU stadium, a workshop in the format of fitness training “The Main Directions of Fitness in 30 Minutes or non-boring Fitness” was held for students.
