Memory lesson dedicated to the tragedy in the village of Khatyn

On March 20, 2025, Polessky State University hosted a memory lesson dedicated to the tragedy in the village of Khatyn. March 22, 1943 is a tragic date in the history of Belarus. The village of Khatyn was destroyed by the Nazi punishers with almost all of its inhabitants. The Nazi invaders burned 149 people alive in Khatyn, including 75 children and infants.

The event was attended by: Deputy Prosecutor of the Pinsk Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office Ekaterina Babich, Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work Olga Khmel, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work Yulia Golyakovich, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Finance, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Yelenskaya, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines Leonid  Yaroshevich, Valeria Melyukh, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Finance.
